Mobility offers in the Überseestadt
Mobil on the road
Sustainable mobility concepts and offers are becoming increasingly important for all of us.
On the one hand, this applies to car traffic, where electric cars and car-sharing offers now play an important role. On the other hand, it is also important to shift part of the mobility (away from the car) to other means of transport or to enable a combination in the use of environmentally friendly means of transport. For example, in the case of a combination of public transport and bicycle, corresponding offers of bicycle rental systems should also be available. This could divert many journeys from the car to the bicycle, especially in cities. And the use of smartphones with the corresponding mobile and digital applications now makes many things easier here.
In the meantime, Überseestadt has also made some progress in terms of mobility. Rental and sharing services as well as other sustainable offers have already been realised in many places: For example, where can I charge my electric vehicle, find a car sharing station, rent a bike or repair my own bike at a BIKE IT bike service station free of charge with the right tools and repair kits?
An additional new offer in terms of mobility is: Cycling barrier-free through Bremen!
As part of the "Bremen barrier-free" project, a new excursion format has been created in Bremen that makes the city even more accessible. The new cycle route "Schlachte, Werder, Übersee", especially for handbikes and e-wheelchairs, covers a total of just under thirty kilometres, but can be shortened individually. The starting point is possible at various locations.
